Since every business is different, our distributor, agency and affiliation
agreements are custom designed depending on individual
circumstances. Some basic definitions of Expinion's business
promotion opportunities are below. (Please note that these are
generalizations and don't constitute any form of commitment at this
time.)
Each of the following three descriptions relates to the sale
of single site licenses for any entire application.
Become a Distributor (Reseller):
This is an attractive option for website developers or hosts who wish to include
Expinion applications as part of website packages. This is a mutually non-exclusive arrangement
that may be terminated (non-retroactively) without notice by either party.
A distributor has the
right to sell, install and support one or more applications on behalf of
Expinion. Both the Distributor and the End-User are subject to the terms and conditions of each single site license as
described here. The
distributor is then responsible for payment collection, and within an agreed
upon time frame (usually within 30 days of application installation), reimburses the agreed portion of each license sale to
Expinion.
Although each individual agreement is uniquely written and signed with each individual company,
the typical arrangement is for the Distributor to receive a 30% to 50% discount per application sold.
(In other words, the Distributor will reimburse Expinion.net for 50% to 70% of the sales price currently posted on Expinion.net, for that application license.)
Note: In order to receive a 50% discount on the software, the distributor must be prepared to
keep all Expinion logos and references intact within the applications and any related documentation.
Alternatively, an agreement may be made where the distributor can use
a version with logos and other Expinion.net references already removed, in exchange for both of the following conditions being met:
·
an Affiliated
with Expinion.net link appears on the company’s front page, or is otherwise
made prominent if no website is available.
·
and an
increased cost per unit is assigned to the Distributor. (To be agreed upon, but typically 70% cost / 30% discount.)
* Note: The distributor needs to become very familiar with the product(s)
because they will be expected to install the application, and to support the end-users themselves. (Therefore, it is Expinion's policy that a minimum of one copy of the application must be purchased and installed
prior to the reseller becoming an official Distributor.)
By default, Expinion.net will provide support directly to the Distributor only, and not to their clients (the end-user).
Additional support contracts with either the distributor or each individual customer, can be made with Expinion, but at an additional cost per unit.
Due to the
distributor's increased involvment, the cost per license is significantly less
for the distributor. An added bonus is that since the distributor accepts
the payment, then forwards Expinion's portion, the
distributor is not required to pay for each
application 'up-front' as when purchasing a Developer’s License.

Become an Agent:
An agent is a business, which has made an agreement with Expinion as follows.
When the Agent refers potential customers, who later purchase Expinion products directly from Expinion.net,
that Agent will receive a commission from Expinion at an agreed upon percentage of Expinion's revenue from that sale. Each license purchased is subject
to the terms and conditions outlined here. A license
must be purchased for each site that an application is to reside
on. The commission is agreed upon on an individual
basis, depending on expected volume of sales and any other important
factors that are brought to our attention. Typically, an agent will receive a commission of 10% of each net sale, within thirty days after payment has been received.
Typically the sale referral is made by the agent; the sale would be completed
via Expinion.net, support and installation would be provided by Expinion, and a
commission would be forwarded to the agent after payment has been
received. The commission reflects the fact that Expinion still provides
installation, support and handles the finances.
