OK, admit it... we all love ASP. It's easy to work with, purchased programs invariably come with source code, and you can make quick changes dynamically.
For programmers... ASP means you don't have to fool around with compiling, and no wondering (and constant checking) did the source copy get updated with every change?! Then you have to upload the whole compiled code over again. Time consuming for programming on web sites that need frequent changes. Plus, ASP has been around long enough that we programmers simply don't want to learn it!
But... asp is not being as fully supported by Microsoft anymore. It still works of course, and probably will for a very long time, since it's still so popular. And, let's face it... once you get to know asp.net, it's NICE!!!
